12 March 2020 : Covid-19 - "You will lose loved ones"

So the first meltdown arrived. Boris Johnson said live on telly, we will lose loved ones but lets keep going as we are, keep singing Happy Birthday. Are you kidding me! Don't you see what is happening around the world, Italy is in chaos and the rest of Europe not far behind.

Trying to get my head around "herd immunity" poor hubby had to try and explain it several times. I couldn't understand. Just go into lockdown now. We all knew where this was heading. No point waiting for another week or so - the economy will suffer, we will all suffer but we will still be alive. Our elderly and vulnerable population need to be treated better than this. And stop panic buying the toilet roll.....seriously.....

I sobbed for hours. I pleaded with my hubby to let me take the kids out of school. He said it wasn't needed at this point -they also wanted to go to school but I was terrified. We had booked a long weekend, I was so relieved to be at home.............

I was doing lots of reading, factual, social media reports from Italy and China. It was terrifying. I am a smoker and it attacks the lungs.........I wasn't going anywhere and I was frightened....................yes I know smoking is really dangerous and I know I shouldn't do it....can you put down that glass of wine you pour every night, think before you judge....if you don't do none of that you probably wont be interested in what I have to say.
