25 March 2020 : Covid-19 Take your shoes off!

So another good nights sleep (think it is the vodka!). Early start, shower, dressed ready for home working! Thought it might have eased off a bit but working in education there is so much that is changing on a daily basis, work that I did yesterday is no longer relevant today!!

My eldest and her boyfriend (even though showing no symptoms are 12 days are still in isolation) just as a precaution and to keep me sane. They went out for a walk early so they wouldn't bump into anyone else....I asked my daughter to remove her shoes before coming into the house (cos lots of people are saying you can walk it into the house)......she threw them out the door and said I was a freak basically. She said she couldn't find any factualy evidence that it was a requiremenet, just me being freaky. Well if I had my way she would strip, shower, wash her clothes and her shoes every time she went out the door so I am compromising, just the shoes, her clothes are going into her quarantine room!

My hubby doesn't quite get it either but he is doing it for an easy life! He walks the dogs. The eldest dog (8 years old) had a funny breathing fit after returning from their walk and I was like OMG the dog is infected....I bleached everything around her and sent her into the garden....I am a freak....I bleached all of the floors all of the work surfaces and every other surface that could be touched in the house, maybe the dog is struggling with the fumes, I do leave lots of doors and windows open!

Had some chest pains tonight but putting that down to anxiety.....eases off a bit after a few vodkas, so either numbing the pain or numbing my brain....

We are all settling into lockdown, everyone is pretty chilled (other than the shoes).....getting on with their home working or home schooling. Scheduled food delivery on Saturday, will it come, will it have what we need....we shall see. Very strange times!!
